What is an SS cap aluminium rivet?
An SS cap aluminium rivet is a two-part fastener: a soft aluminium body topped with a stainless steel cap. The aluminium is easy to set, so the rivet locks a handle to the vessel quickly and permanently. The stainless steel cap gives the visible side a bright, rust-free finish that matches steel cookware.
That combination is why it is the standard rivet for fixing handles on pressure cookers, kadai, fry pans, sauce pans and tawa across the Indian cookware industry.

How to choose the right size
Match the hole
Pick the diameter that fits the hole punched in the cookware wall and handle bracket. A loose fit gives a weak joint.
Measure the grip
Add the wall thickness and bracket thickness. This is the material the rivet has to pass through.
Allow for setting
Choose a length that leaves roughly 1 to 1.5 times the diameter extra, so the end flares fully when set.
Test before bulk
Ask for samples and test on your own setting machine before placing the full order.

Is an SS cap rivet the same as an SS cap aluminium rivet?
Yes. Both names describe the same product: an aluminium rivet body with a stainless steel cap. It is also sold as an aluminium rivet with SS cap or a stainless steel cap rivet.
Why not use a plain aluminium rivet?
A plain aluminium rivet works, but its dull grey head stands out on steel cookware. The stainless steel cap gives a bright, matching finish that resists rust, so the cookware looks better on the shelf.
